Telangana DGP Jitender made it clear that the police are not against hero Allu Arjun and the action has been taken as per the law in the unfortunate incident of Sandhya theater stampede. DGP Jitender, who participated in the inauguration program of Bharosa Center in Karimnagar on Sunday, responded to the Sandhya Theater stampede incident.
He said that Allu Arjun may be a movie hero, but he should understand the situation on the ground. Moreover, he asserted that movie promotions are not more important than public safety.
“Even if they are movie heroes, they are citizens outside. Whoever does something wrong, action will not be taken according to the law. For us, public safety is important. The police are not against anyone personally. Movie promotions are not more important than public safety,” he added.
DGP said that citizens need to act responsibly if law and order are to be maintained in the society. He said that such incidents are not good for society at all. He said that the Telangana government gives top priority to the protection of women and children, which is why they are setting up a Bharosa Kendra in every district center.
Jitender clarified that the police department will work within the law and that cases will be registered against anyone who does something wrong. He said that such incidents are not good for society. The DGP said that there are 20 SP offices and 9 more commissionerates in the state, and 27 Bharosa Kendras have been opened so far.
He said that SBI CSR funds have been spent to build a Bharosa Kendra in Karimnagar. He explained that a building of about 6,800 square feet has been constructed. DGP Jitender clarified that they will act according to the law in the case of film actor Mohan Babu also.
“We have registered a case against film actor Mohan Babu. Action will be taken against him as per the law in the wake of the attack on media representatives. Dispute among Mohan Babu family members is their family problem. Since it is a domestic problem, they should solve it themselves,” said DGP Jitender.
