TIRUMALA: BRS leader and former minister Srinivas Goud alleged that the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) is showing bias against Telangana residents and public representatives. Speaking to the media after offering prayers at the Tirumala temple on Tuesday, he criticized the TTD for discontinuing facilities previously extended to Telangana representatives, terming it inappropriate.
Goud urged the coalition government to reinstate the privileges granted earlier and emphasized that granting full autonomy to the TTD chairman would ensure justice for Telangana devotees.
He further remarked that over the last decade, individuals from Andhra Pradesh have disproportionately benefited in business and official positions. Goud issued a stern warning, stating that continued discrimination against Telangana could lead to difficulties for Andhra residents in the state in the future.
