Pattabhipuram Police Registered A case Against Former YCP Minister Ambati Rambabu

A case has been registered against a key leader of the YCP in Guntur district. The police have registered a case against YCP Guntur district president and former Irrigation Minister Ambati Rambabu at the Pattabhipuram police station in Guntur city. Along with Ambati, a case has also been registered against several YCP leaders.

A case has been filed against Ambati and YCP leaders for obstructing the police from performing their duties. Two days ago, Ambati Rambabu and YCP leaders staged a protest at the Pattabhipuram police station. In the wake of the YCP’s recent arrest of social media psychos, Ambati Rambabu and several YCP leaders jointly filed complaints at the Guntur police station demanding the arrest of Telugu Desam Party activists who had posted posts against the YCP leaders.

However, Ambati Rambabu expressed anger that cases were not being registered on the complaints they had filed. Ambati Rambabu, along with YCP leaders, sat at the Pattabhipuram police station for two days in protest against the police’s actions. The YCP leaders protested by displaying placards.

However, on the same day, the police officials told the YCP leaders that the police were on duty at the President’s Draupadi Murmu program at Mangalagiri AIIMS and asked them to come the next day. But, ignoring the police’s words, Ambati Rambabu protested by sitting at the police station and holding placards.

In this context, the police registered a case against them for obstructing the police from performing their duties. The Police sources said  that the police are likely to give notices to Ambati Rambabu and call him for questioning in this matter.

Ambati Rambabu is currently at his residence in Guntur. It is reported that Ambati will be given notices and called for questioning in the wake of the case being registered last night. However, it is not clear when the police will give notices to him.
