YSRCP social media incharge and son of YCP’s general secretary Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy Sajjala Bhargava Reddy get a temporary relief from Andhra Pradesh High Court. When he approached the High Court with a quash petition in the cases filed by police in abusive social media posts against TDP leaders, the High Court issued interim orders protecting him from arrest for two weeks.
A hearing was held in the High Court on Monday on his petition seeking to dismiss the nine cases registered against him. The court ordered the police to file a counter to this. Cases have been registered against him in various parts of the state for not only making and providing content related to YSRCP social media but also sending content to all YSRCP social media activists in the state and posting them on social media to defame opposition leaders.
In addition, Varra Ravinder Reddy, who was arrested by the police in Pulivendula, also said that all this content comes to him from Tadepalli, the headquarters of the YCP. He also told the police during interrogation that Sajjala Bhargava Reddy is the YCP social media in-charge.
In this context, along with the statement given by Varra, many people have complained that indecent posts were made against them because Sajjala was providing social media content in various parts of the state. With this, a total of 9 cases have been registered against Sajjala across the state.
With this, Sajjala Bhargava Reddy approached the High Court to dismiss all these cases. However, Sajjala Bhargava Reddy acted as the YCP social media in-charge even until the party lost power. Moreover, there is a possibility of registering some more cases against him.
The High Court bench adjourned the hearing of the case for two weeks. It ordered the police to file a counter-affidavit within these two weeks. Until then, the High Court has issued orders not to take any hasty action against Bhargava Reddy.
