Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has recently addressed the arrest of Tollywood actor Allu Arjun, stating that he had no role in the matter. Revanth clarified that the legal system is operating independently, with everyone subject to the law equally. He further explained that the police acted following the tragic incident at Sandhya Theatre, where a woman lost her life during a chaotic crowd situation.
Earlier, the Telangana government had given permission for extra screenings and increased ticket prices for Pushpa 2, which Allu Arjun had publicly thanked the government for. However, the situation took a tragic turn when the actor attended a benefit show at Sandhya Theatre. The heavy crowd led to a stampede, resulting in the death of a woman named Revathi and leaving her son injured. This incident sparked public outrage, putting immense pressure on the government. In response, Minister Komatireddy Venkata Reddy declared that benefit shows would no longer be authorized.
As the Sandhya Theatre tragedy drew widespread criticism, particularly over the police’s failure to prevent the incident, it was reported that Allu Arjun had been arrested. However, it was later revealed that government officials chose to distance themselves from the issue. During a media interaction in Delhi, Revanth Reddy addressed the ongoing developments, further shedding light on the matter.
