The Telangana High Court has taken the Revanth Reddy’s government to task for granting permission for construction of buildings within the boundaries of water resources like ponds and ponds and now demolishing them as illegal structures. The high court warned that if the authorities gave permission even though they knew it was illegal and now demolishes them, they will have to pay compensation to them.
It ordered that criminal cases be registered against the authorities who gave permission for illegal structures. It stated that from now on, orders will have to be issued for the confiscation of the properties of the authorities concerned who gave permission for the demolition of illegal structures. It made it clear that if the permitted structures are demolished as illegal structures, the government does not need to pay compensation to the victims.
It said that the government is not allowed to pay public money as compensation to the victims. It questioned why government money should be paid for the mistakes of officials? It commented that the compensation amount should be recovered from the authorities who gave permission for illegal structures and that if their properties are confiscated.
Stressing the need for the protection of water resources like ponds and ponds, but said now that constructions have been made within their boundaries, even with the permission of the authorities, they are being given notices that they are illegal.
It questioned the motive of the authorities in issuing notices stating that they are within the buffer zone and FTL limits after the buildings have been given permission and the constructions have been completed, and that they are within the buffer zone and FTL limits and that they will be demolished.
Three people, including Sachin Jaiswal, have filed a petition challenging the notices given by the Irrigation Department officials for the removal of structures within the buffer zone and FTL limits of Mangarshikunta, Shamshabad mandal, Rangareddy district. Justice CV Bhasar Reddy took up the matter on Wednesday.
