A leading English news daily carried out an article stating that Kantara fame actor and director Rishab Shetty is said to have pitched an exciting idea to reigning pan-India superstar Prabhas. It has been speculated that Rishab might provide the script for one of the three projects signed by Prabhas with Hombale Films. This canard triggered a huge buzz because both Prabhas and Rishab Shetty are quite popular across the country and their combination is bound to generate ripples all over.
These unverified reports have been immediately refuted by both the team of Prabhas and Rishab Shetty. Sources close to the actors condemned the news as baseless and clarified there is no such development between them. Prabhas and Rishab share a good rapport as both of them worked with Hombale Films. They are also working on multiple films with the same production house. So, it is common for such rumours to surface. But, there isn’t iota of truth in the news, said the source.
Prabhas is currently busy shooting for The Raja Saab and Fauji simultaneously. He struck a three film deal with Hombale Films and directors like Prashanth Varma, Prashanth Varma and Lokesh Kanagaraj are tipped to handle these exciting projects. He also has Kalki 2 in the line-up.
Meanwhile, Rishab Shetty is fast finishing the prequel to his mythological thriller Kantara and also agreed to work on ‘Jai Hanuman’ up next. Both actors are busy with their respective films for the next few years.
