The Andhra Pradesh government signed an important agreement with Google to enable its operations in Visakhapatnam. According to Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, this collaboration will focus on establishing a data centre, applying artificial intelligence and providing high-speed sea cable connectivity. All these initiatives are aimed at establishing Visakhapatnam as the premier technological hub. IT Minister Nara Lokesh was appreciated by CM Naidu for playing a key role in securing this collaboration. He expressed optimism that this would create extensive job opportunities for the youth and significantly boost the state’s economy.
Highlighting the efforts, Naidu said that Lokesh’s visits to the United States of America and discussions with officials of Google brought this particular project to Andhra Pradesh. He said that Google’s investment in Visakhapatnam marks a revolutionary step and a watershed moment for the development of the state. Underlining the requirement of not giving up on perseverance and innovative approaches, Naidu also called for continuous efforts toward long-term success.
He also took a swipe at the previous government, stating that the management system was so poor that it was bringing a bad name to the state. He accused the YSR Congress Party of misusing funds provided by the center but gave an assurance that his government was managing things properly and ensuring the right use of resources. He also pointed to Amaravati and several welfare schemes as examples of his administration’s commitment to development.
