Protests Erupt As BRS Leaders Arrested During Telangana Assembly Winter Session

The winter session of the Telangana Assembly began today with a tense atmosphere, as BRS leaders staged a protest that led to their arrests by police. The session officially started at 10:30 AM, but the mood turned chaotic when BRS leaders arrived wearing T-shirts emblazoned with the slogan “Adani Revanth Bhai Bhai,” in protest against the ruling party.

When the leaders attempted to enter the Assembly, police raised objections to the T-shirts, insisting they be removed. This triggered a heated argument, with the BRS leaders adamantly refusing to comply, questioning the police’s actions. The confrontation grew more intense as the protestors stood firm in their decision to wear the T-shirts.

During the protest, BRS leaders raised slogans such as “Adani with a fight, friendship in the street” and criticized Chief Minister Revanth Reddy for allegedly neglecting their concerns. KTR, who was present, defended the protest, stating that the leaders had no choice but to express their opposition in this manner. They also chanted “Telangana Mother is ours, Congress Mother is yours,” referencing the ongoing controversy surrounding the Telangana Mother statue.

After a brief standoff, the police arrested the protesting leaders, leading to further unrest outside the Assembly. The protest added to the already tense atmosphere as the session continued.
