Pushpa 2 Isn’t Pan-India, It’s Telugu India: Ram Gopal Varma

Renowned filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma has once again weighed in on Pushpa 2, highlighting the movie’s record-breaking success in the Hindi market. Taking to social media platform X, Varma praised the film’s impressive performance, saying:  

“The dubbed film in Hindi has made its mark. Pushpa 2 has created history as the highest-grossing film in Bollywood. Allu Arjun, a non-Hindi actor, has become the biggest star in that market. This isn’t a Pan-India movie; it’s a Telugu India cinema phenomenon.”  

Pushpa 2 Sets New Records at the Box Office  

Directed by Sukumar and starring Allu Arjun, Pushpa 2 has been a massive hit since its release on September 5. From the premiere shows itself, the film garnered positive buzz and saw an extraordinary response.  

In just three days, Pushpa 2 achieved over ₹205 crore (net) in collections in the Hindi market alone. On the release day, it secured a record-breaking ₹72 crore (net), followed by ₹59 crore on the second day and ₹74 crore on the third day. Globally, the film amassed a staggering ₹294 crore (gross) on its first day, a record for any Indian film worldwide.  

In just two days, Pushpa 2 reached the ₹500-crore club across all markets, showcasing the massive appeal and success that the movie has achieved worldwide. With records tumbling at both domestic and international levels, Pushpa 2 continues to solidify its place as a cinematic phenomenon.
