The CRDA Authority meeting has decided to invite tenders for development works worth Rs 11,467 crore in the Amaravati capital area. The 41st CRDA Authority meeting was held at the CM’s residence in Undavalli under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu. 23 items were approved in the meeting.
Administrative permissions were given for allocating funds to undertake key buildings, roads and flood prevention works in the capital. Minister for Municipal Administration Dr P. Narayana alleged that the YSRCP government had weakened Amaravati with three divisions in the last five years.
He said that after the formation of the coalition government, several committees were formed and they are moving forward based on the reports. He said that approval has been given for the commencement of work on 360 km of trunk roads and some roads worth Rs 2,498 crore.
He said that approval has been given for the construction of Pala Vagu, Kondaveeti Vagu, Gravity Canal and reservoirs for flood prevention at a cost of Rs 1,585 crore. He said that the work of gazetted, non-gazetted, Class-4 and All India Service officers’ buildings is going to be undertaken at a cost of Rs 3,523 crore.
He said that the meeting approved the construction of roads and infrastructure in the returnable layouts given to farmers at a cost of Rs 3,859 crore. He said that tenders will be called immediately for the respective works and the work will start from January.
He said that the CM has ordered that underground drainage, street lights, drinking water and other infrastructure should be completed with international standards. He said that tenders have been called for the designs of 5 iconic towers, Assembly and High Court buildings.
He said that the designs for the five iconic towers will be received by the 15th of this month and that tenders will be called for the iconic buildings by the end of this month.
