Actor Dhanush has filed a case and initiated legal proceedings against the couple Nayanthara and Vignesh Shivan over the usage of the content from his production ‘Naanum Rowdy Dhaan’ in her recently released Netflix documentary. Here are the details:
Nayanthara recently unveiled her long-awaited Netflix documentary, titled ‘Nayanthara: Beyond the Fairy Tale,’ showcasing her wonderful journey in the film industry, discussing her past relationships, and her marriage to the director Vignesh Shivan.
Prior to the release, the actress accused Dhanush of demanding Rs. 10 crore for using his film ‘Naanum Rowdy Dhaan’ clips in the documentary. She lashed out at the star after he denied the No Objection Certificate (NOC). She penned a long note and shared it on her Instagram.
Although Dhanush remained silent on the matter initially, the tension between the two popular Tamil stars became evident in a recently surfaced wedding video where the two actors seemed to avoid interaction. Now, Dhanush filed a case against Nayanthara and Vignesh Shivan on behalf of his production house, Wunderbar Films, in the Madras High Court. The case was heard today on November 27, with further developments awaited. Nayanthara is yet to respond on the matter and is likely to make it before the next hearing.
To the unknown, Naanum Rowdy Dhaan holds significance as Nayanthara and Vignesh Shivan fell in love during the making of this Tamil film, which was produced by Dhanush.
