With unwavering optimism, he expressed his belief that SSMB29 would receive the kind of worldwide release typically reserved for Hollywood blockbusters. “I firmly believe that SSMB29 will break international barriers and have a global release on the same level as Hollywood films. It’s bound to happen,” said Rana.
In his discussion, Rana also highlighted the shift in the global perception of Indian cinema. While Bollywood films were once the only Indian films known internationally, he emphasized the growing awareness of regional cinema. “Today, people around the world are recognizing and appreciating films from various Indian languages. Thanks to the rise of OTT platforms, language is no longer a barrier. Audiences are now open to watching not only large-scale films but also independent movies with local narratives,” he noted.
