110 Crores Budget For Naga Chaitanya’s New Film

Akkineni Naga Chaitanya is keen to raise his stakes in Tollywood with each outing. His upcoming film Thandel, which is slotted for release in February next year, is the most expensive film in Chaitu’s career with a budget of more than 80 Crores as per the estimation of the production house. So, it is natural that the next film will be mounted on a bigger scale if Thandel strikes big at the box office. However, even before its release, Naga Chaitanya has signed another big-budget entertainer.

As per latest reports, Naga Chaitanya will join forces with Virupaksha director Karthik Varma Danu for another mystical thriller with spiritual elements and a mythological backdrop. It will be a joint production of BVSN Prasad and Sukumar Writings headed by Pushpa filmmaker Sukumar. The untitled film will be the costliest film  of Chay’s career. Sources close to the team revealed that the Thandel actor’s role will have dual shades.

After taking everything into consideration, the makers felt the film will cost Rs 110 cr to make, including the remuneration of actors and technicians. The expansive story and the star-studded casting demands such an amount and the makers want to do justice to it. Also, the film will be high on computer graphics and out of the Rs 110 cr, 30-35 cr will be spent on CG works alone.

The formal shooting will commence next month once Chaitu wraps up Thandel and completes his marriage formalities. The first schedule will last for a week, with Hyderabad set to host it. The second schedule will begin after Sankranti. The film will be extensively shot in Mysore and Gujarat. It will be a standalone project and has no connection whatsoever with Virupaksha. Lucky Baskhar girl Meenakshi Chaudhary has been cast opposite Chaitanya in the film.
