The new governing body of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam, chaired by Chairman BR Naidu, has decided to take over the building allotted to Sharada Peeth in Tirumala. The lease of Sharada Peeth has been canceled. It has been ordered to examine the possibilities of changing the name of the Srivani Trust and submit a report in the next meeting.
It has been decided to check the services of non-religious employees in TTD and not to give their own names to the guest houses in the temple. It has been decided to take steps to ensure that devotees have darshan within two to three hours. The board has decided to hand over the non-religious employees working in TTD to the government.
TTD Chairman BR Naidu said that it has been decided to name the Tirupati Srinivasa Sethu flyover as Garuda Varadhi. He said that the garbage in the Tirumala dumping yard will be removed within three months and that a ban on talking about politics will be imposed in Tirumala.
He clarified that TTD’s money will be transferred from private banks to government banks and that darshan tickets through tourism will be completely canceled. He announced that the permissions of the newly constructed Mumtaz Hotel will be canceled. BR Naidu said that the people of Tirupati will be given the opportunity to have darshan on the first Tuesday of every month.
BR Naidu said that he will write a letter to the government to hand over the 20 acres of land allotted to Devalok Sanstha in Alipiri to TTD. It was decided to serve another item in Anna Prasadam to the devotees. A resolution was passed to form a committee to use quality ghee in Srivari Prasadam.
The governing council has decided to increase the Brahmotsavam bonus for TTD employees from Rs. 14,000 to Rs. 15,400. BR Naidu said that 4,000 darshan tickets allocated to the tourism department will be canceled.
The TTD board has decided to form an expert committee to ensure that devotees do not have to wait long in queues and can have darshan within 2 or 3 hours using artificial intelligence. Based on the report given by this committee, steps will be taken to ensure that devotees have darshan at the earliest.
An MoU has been signed with TVS to prevent leakages in the Srivari temple and to modernize the Anna Prasadam center. TVS will do these works free of cost.
