Lady Superstar Nayanthara is gearing up to entertain audiences in a new role with a period action drama in her next film. Celebrating her 40th birthday today, the actress delighted fans by unveiling the title teaser, officially announcing the film’s title as ‘Rakkayie’.
Sharing a gripping glimpse on Instagram, Nayanthara teased the storyline with a powerful caption: “In a land where justice is but a memory… there lived a mother whose world was her child.. But when her daughter’s life is threatened by a monster… She does not flee… she does not falter… Instead, she declares war.”
The title teaser showcases Nayanthara as a fierce warrior who declares war to protect her child from the monsters. Set against a rural backdrop, the teaser opens with the sound of a baby crying in a hut. Draped in a red saree, Nayanthara grabs chilies and grinds them into chili powder. Suddenly, a group of men starts attacking the hut with axes and weapons. Inside the hut, Nayanthara feeds her infant daughter with milk before hearing the approaching chaos. Placing the baby gently to sleep, she grabs a sickle and confronts the army single-handedly. At the end, she throws the chili powder at her foes, revealing the title, Rakkayie. Touted to be a period-action drama, the film is written and helmed by Senthil Nallasamy and produced by Vedikkaranpatti S. Sakthivel under the banners of Drumstick Productions and Movie Verse Studios. 96 fame Govind Vasantha added another layer to this teaser with his music score. Scheduled for a pan-Indian release, the film will reveal its release date soon.
