AP Legislative Assembly Whip and Kadapa TDP MLA Madhavi Reddy lamented YSRCP for weakening Kadapa Municipal Corporation and alleged previous government failed to make any development in the district. She assured that she will fight to resolve problems of the Kadapa city, particularly water shortage.
She ridiculed stating that YCP government brought Steel Plant to the district confining it laying foundation stone only. She also alleged that the previous government showed criminal negligence towards TIDCO houses without distributing them to the beneficiaries.
TDP Polit Bureau member Srinivasa Reddy has demanded YCP MLAs to resign as they are not attending Assembly session and showing any interest to represent people’s issues. He accused that former chief minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy is preventing their MLAs from attending the assembly session.
He said that every issue is being discussed in the Legislative Assembly and that the Super Six schemes will definitely be implemented in phases. He also said that the Janmabhoomi program will start soon. He was furious that a leader who does not care about his mother and sister is criticizing him.
Meanwhile, a tense atmosphere was recently prevailing at the Kadapa Municipal Corporation office. Kadapa MLA Madhavi Reddy became angry as YCP members tried to prevent her to sit by the side of the Mayor, asking her to sit along with other Corporators.
She came to the Municipal Corporation meeting with her followers and TDP workers for the council meeting. However, as per the rules, the police did not allow anyone except the MLA to enter. Madhavi Reddy, who went inside, asked why she had been sitting for so many years and was not sitting now.
She protested that there was no need to sit in the corporators. There were arguments between the two groups on this issue. There has been a dispute between Kadapa MLA Madhavi Reddy and Mayor Suresh Babu for some time now. The ruling YSRCP faction felt that the MLA should not be allowed to sit next to the Mayor in the ongoing Kadapa Municipal Corporation meeting.
They took this issue seriously. A complaint was filed with the SP in advance, fearing that there would be any unrest. Due to this, the police deployed heavy forces in advance. Security was arranged to prevent any clashes.
