Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and Telugu Desam Party national president Nara Chandrababu Naidu’s brother Nara Ramamurthy Naidu passed away due to ill health in Hyderabad today morning. Babu’s son Nara Lokesh cancelled his official works and immediately rushed from Amaravati to Hyderabad to see Ramamurthy Naidu who was taking treatment in a private hospital. Just a while ago, it was declared that Naidu passed away due to multiple organ failure.
Ramamurthy Naidu was an active leader in TDP during the 90s. He even contested as MLA from Chandragiri constituency in Tirupati and won with a decisive mandate in 1994. Later, he lost in 1999 in the hands of Congress leader Galla Aruna Kumari even though TDP came to power for the second term.
Due to personal differences with Chandrababu Naidu, Ramamurthy Naidu resigned from TDP and joined Congress in 2001 in the presence of YS Rajasekhar Reddy. However, he returned to the yellow fold in 2006 after being ignored by Congress but didn’t contest any elections due to health issues.
Ramamurthy Naidu’s son Nara Rohit carved out a niche in Tollywood as an actor. He often comes in support of Chandrababu on social media. He got recently engaged and the occasion was graced by Chandrababu Naidu and his family.
In light of his brother’s critical condition, CM Chandrababu Naidu has canceled his tour to Maharashtra and is returning back to Hyderabad. He was initially scheduled to participate in election campaigning but decided to abandon the plan and visit his brother. With the sudden demise, Naidu is likely to stay in Hyderabad for a couple of days.
