Stating that his government is a good government, but not a soft government, Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan warned that suo moto cases will be filed against those who threaten IAS officers. He said that even if there is a small injury to the officers, he made it clear that the government will not remain silent.
Pawan expressed his anger that the YSRCP leaders have used the officers as they wish, saying that they will be in power for 20 years. He was speaking at the Forest Department Martyrs Remembrance program organized in Guntur.
Pawan Kalyan assured his full support for the Forest Department officers in discharging their duties without fear. He said that the forest officials are being given complete freedom to protect the forests and the sacrifices of the forest martyrs should never be forgotten.
He said that he will collect a donation of Rs. 5 crores from various sections to the Forest Department and that stupas will be built to pay homage to the forest martyrs in the future. He revealed that any help will be provided to protect the forests from smugglers. He admitted that there is a serious shortage of personnel in the Forest Department.
Pawan Kalyan expressed concern that 23 people lost their lives while performing their duties. He said that the Forest Office blocks should be named after them in memory of the martyrs.
“Let us pay homage to the forest martyrs by building stupas in the future. We will provide any help to protect the forests from smugglers. We are giving complete freedom to the forest officials to protect the forests. The sacrifices of the martyrs should never be forgotten. Forest office blocks should be named after the martyrs,” he added.
Stressing the need to ensure security everyon in the society, particularly women, Deputy Chief Minister said that he would provide security even if YS Sharmila asked for it. He called on everyone in the society to come forward regarding the safety of women. He said that a plan is being prepared to completely eradicate ganja from the state.
