PV Sindhu Finally Launched construction of Badminton Academy In Visakha

Badminton star player VP Sindhu has launched the construction of a badminton academy in her name in Andhra Pradesh. Near the Pedagadili intersection in Chinagadili mandal of Visakhapatnam Rural Mandal, overcoming several hurdles.

Sindhu performed the ground breaking ceremony along with her parents for the construction of the badminton academy on the land allotted by the government earlier this week. Sindhu, who performed the ground breaking ceremony at the site, said that the work will be done quickly and the construction will be completed within a year.

 PV Sindhu said that the goal is to prepare children and youth who are interested in badminton to show their talent in high-level competitions. She said that the details of the academy’s capacity, training, etc. will be revealed soon.

With the aim of developing the youth of Andhra Pradesh into international badminton players, the government has allotted three acres of land to PV Sindhu. However, a few days ago, locals protest demanding that the land allotted to PV Sindhu be allocated for a junior college.

On this occasion, TDP leader Ommi Sanyasirao, under the auspices of the United Forum of Public Associations, protested there along with the locals, but the police stopped him. Tight security was put in place to prevent any untoward incidents.

 The locals say that they will not accept the allocation of the land adjacent to the Zilla Parishad School to a badminton academy instead of for the construction of a junior college. They said that they will fight this.. They recently protested.

 In this order, VC Sindhu performed the Bhoomi Puja for the construction of the academy today. In June 2021, the then YSRCP government allotted two acres of land to PV Sindhu in Chinagadili mandal of Visakhapatnam Rural mandal. This land was given to set up a badminton academy and sports school.

The three-acre land in Chigadili belonged to the Animal Husbandry Department. Two acres were transferred to the Sports and Youth Affairs Department. One acre was transferred to the Medical and Health Department.

Later, the Sports and Youth Affairs Department issued orders allocating those two acres of land for the PV Sindhu Badminton Academy. As per the rules regarding this land allotted to PV Sindhu  Academy registration certificate and IT returns for three years were submitted. Only after that was it transferred to the PV Sindhu Badminton Academy.
