The AP government is getting ready to provide kits to students studying in government and aided schools in the 2025-26 academic year under the Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan Vidyarthi Mitra Scheme. The government has issued administrative approvals to this extent. Rs. 953.71 crore to provide kits under this scheme.
Of these funds, the Center will allocate Rs. 175.03 crore and the state will allocate Rs. 778.68 crore. Kits will be provided to 35,94,774 students studying in government and aided schools from class one to class ten. Under the Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan Vidyarthi Mitra Scheme, textbooks, workbooks, notebooks, belts, shoes, bags, dictionaries and three pairs of uniforms will be provided.
The government has estimated that it will cost Rs. 1858.50 to provide a kit with all the items to each student. Also, Rs. 1-8 will be provided for sewing costs in relation to uniforms. Rs. 120.. Rs. 240 will be paid to those in classes 9 and 10. To this extent, this kit will be provided to students from the next academic year.
