Minister Sridhar Babu has accused the former BRS government of gradually reducing the count of Telangana martyrs’ families. He noted that during the movement, KCR had declared in the Assembly that around 1,200 people sacrificed their lives. However, Sridhar Babu claimed that over time, the BRS government reduced this figure in stages, ultimately bringing the count down to 585. He questioned what happened to the remaining 615 martyrs.
In response to recent accusations from BRS leaders, Sridhar Babu posed 10 questions to them, demanding clarity.
“Why did BRS ignore the families of the martyrs? What happened to the promises KCR made to them? KCR claimed to have provided irrigation for 1.6 million acres, did it even reach 100,000 acres? After losing power, hasn’t KCR confined himself to his home? Unlike BRS, we Congress leaders are constantly with the people. BRS is now a fading sub-regional party,” Sridhar Babu remarked.
