Former Minister Ambati Rambabu lands himself into controversy by visiting the Tirumala temple. He was photographed wearing a shirt with the sticker featuring the image of YSRCP leader Jagan Mohan Reddy. There is quite a lot that has caused people to raise questions, as the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has strict guidelines prohibiting the display of political symbols, flags, or stickers on temple grounds.
This had also invited strong criticism especially from BJP MP CM Ramesh who was himself visiting Tirumala on that day. Rambabu was highly criticized for putting on the YSRCP flag and Jagan’s sticker on his forehead while worshipping in the Lord Venkateswara Temple, stating that such practices demote the sanctity of the place. He questioned Rambabu’s respect for Lord Venkateswara, stating that disrespectful behavior like this diminishes the temple’s revered status.
Ramesh also noted the irony of the situation where Jagan Mohan Reddy, who had always avoided visiting temples for personal reasons, is now being represented politically within such a holy place. Ramesh announced his intention to file a complaint with the TTD about the breach of protocol.
