At a time apprehensions are being expressed over possible threat to the protection of APCC chief YS Sharmila following her public engagement against brother and former chief minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy with regard to dispute over sharing of family property, Jana Sena chief and Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan expressed his solidarity with Sharmila.
Asserting that ensuring protection to her is the responsibility of his government, he assured that they will take care of her protection. It may be recalled that the issue of property distribution in the YS family has become a hot topic in Andhra Pradesh politics for the past few days.
Both YS Sharmila and YS Jagan Mohan Reddy have already released letters in a tit-for-tat competition. Their mother YS Vijayamma has also released an open letter in support of her daughter. On the other hand TDP, YCP and Congress party leaders are accusing Jaganmohan Reddy for `deceiving’ his own sister and mother.
In this context, Pawan Kalyan made remarks targeting YS Jaganmohan Reddy deplored that the leader’s own sister is seeking protection for her life. He clarified that the coalition government is responsible for providing protection to YS Sharmila.
The Deputy CM said that even if YS Sharmila makes political criticisms against his coalition government, he will support her concerns over security. The issue started blowing up after Jaganmohan Reddy had approached the court against YS Sharmila regarding the share of assets.
Meanwhile, Pawan Kalyan has cautioned the activists of Alliance parties that they should be careful as YCP leaders are plotting to create clashes in the state, though they are now seen bowing down after humiliating defeat in recent polls. He visited Jagannadhapuram village of Dwaraka Tirumala mandal of Eluru district on Friday inaugurating state government’s free cylinders distribution program to eligible people under Deepam scheme.
He expressed anger that even though the people have driven out the YSRCP and confined them to only 11 assembly seats, their mouths are not stopping. He warned that Jagan’s followers should remember that it is a good government but not a soft government.
He said that the government is watching everything that is being posted on social media in a way that is embarrassing for girls. He said that the government will take all necessary steps for the protection of girls. He said that the Digital Privacy Act will be implemented soon in the state.
