AP State Education, IT and Electronics Minister Nara Lokesh, who is now visiting the USA to mobilize investments in the state, has visited the Microsoft central office in Red Moon and met its CEO Satya Nadella. He asked to provide technical support for digital governance in the state.
He asked to cooperate in making Amaravati an AI capital and to provide assistance to IT hubs in the state. Lokesh has invited Satya Nadel to visit AP. Telugu employees shook hands with Minister Nara Lokesh at the Microsoft headquarters and took pictures.
Also, Minister Lokesh visited Adobe R&D Center and met the CEO of that company. He also asked them to set up an Adobe R&D center in Amravati. He appealed for participation in smart governance and AI-driven solutions. Lokesh asked Adobe CEO to contribute to the improvement of digital skills among the youth.
Meanwhile, Minister Lokesh said that Anantapur district is a strategic location for the Electronic Vehicles (EV) industry and invited the giant company Tesla to invest in this sector. He visited Tesla’s headquarters in Austin. On this occasion, he met with Vaibhav Taneja, Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Tesla, a leading company in the field of EV manufacturing.
Tesla discussed the possibility of setting up its unit in AP. The minister explained about the investment opportunities in the state, construction of Amaravati, creation of infrastructure and other issues. He said that Anantapur district, which is close to the cities of Bangalore and Chennai, is an ideal place for investment.
Lokesh also met Perot Group and Hillwood Development Chairman Ross Perot Jr. in Dallas. Perot manages diverse portfolios in real estate, technology, data center and energy sectors. He is a partner in public private projects. Perot’s ventures in real estate, logistics, and aviation have had an impact on the American economy. Lokesh asked Perot to participate in innovative real estate, public-private projects and invest in AP. Government and private projects should be set up in AP on the same lines as in Texas, he added.
