Nara Lokesh says 5 Billion Dollars Development works carried out In Capital Region

Minister Nara Lokesh said that development works worth 5 billion dollars are being carried out in Krishna and Guntur Capital Region. He said that the construction work of Amaravati will start from December and the data center of the Civil Aviation University will come up in Visakhapatnam, which is the financial capital.

Lokesh attended a round table meeting organized with industrialists under the auspices of Indian Consulate General Srikar Reddy in San Francisco, USA. Lokesh said that his government is taking steps in decentralization of development and speed of doing business. He said that the TCS company will start its operations soon.

He said that Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has announced six policies in line with the goal of providing 20 lakh jobs to the youth in the next five years. Lokesh said that Chandrababu is waiting for massive investments from expatriates. He said that there is a favorable environment for investment in the state.

He stated that the Chief Minister has decided to make Kurnool district a drone valley. He explained that plans are being made to make the combined districts of Chittoor and Kadapa an electronics hub.

Lokesh revealed that as part of decentralization of development, bio fuel eco system is being developed in Prakasam district. He  appealed to the industrialists of different fields in America to come to Andhra Pradesh and participate in the comprehensive development of the state.

In this regard, Minister Lokesh visited the central office of Equinix Data Center, a famous data services company in San Francisco, USA. The company’s Global MD Kaushik Joshi and Robert Allen, Senior Strategic Sales Engineer, explained the data services and activities provided by their company to the minister through Power Point presentation.

Lokesh told them that in the electronics policy announced by the AP government, Chief Minister Chandrababu has also announced better incentives along with concessions like power subsidy and stamp duty exemption. He invited them to set up a data center in Andhra Pradesh, which has the most favorable environment for investment in India. Lokesh said that if Equinex comes forward, they will provide all possible help and cooperation.
