Pawan Kalyan Directs Forest Department to Investigate Saraswati Power Lands

Under the directives of the Andhra Pradesh government, forest department officials have commenced a significant survey at the Saraswati Power Company. Initiated on Saturday, this survey targets lands owned by the company in the Dachepalli and Machavaram mandals, with the Dachepalli Divisional Forest Officer (DRVO) leading the efforts alongside a dedicated team from the forest department. This initiative follows instructions from Pawan Kalyan, the Deputy Chief Minister and leader of the Jana Sena Party.

Pawan Kalyan has specifically tasked the environmental department officials with investigating approximately 1,515 acres of land associated with Saraswati Power Company. His directive emphasizes the need to identify any natural resources, including rivers, streams, or hilly terrains, within the company’s properties. The findings from this survey are expected to be compiled into a comprehensive report.

The survey aims to uncover whether any government-owned lands or valuable natural resources are present on the Saraswati Power Company’s premises. The Andhra Pradesh government is particularly interested in understanding the conditions that led to the environmental department’s approval of permits for the company, especially regarding any significant natural assets or water bodies on the property. Additionally, the investigation will look into the possibility of undue influence on department officials during the permitting process.

As the survey progresses, it has sparked considerable discussion and speculation among the public. Should the investigation reveal the existence of natural resources or government land, it raises questions about the responses from both Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan. Residents of the Telugu states are eagerly awaiting the forest department’s report, keen to learn the outcomes of this important inquiry and its potential implications for the region.
