A key YCP leader and former minister Mudragada Padmanabham’s daughter Mudraboyina Kranthi joined Jana Sena party in the presence of Jana Sena chief and deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan on Saturday. It may be recalled that Mudragada is known for his strong opposition to both Chandrababu Naidu and Pawan Kalyan for a long time and he took oath to defeat Pawan Kalyan from Pithapuram in the last elections.
After Pawan Kalyan’s success from there as per his oath, he announced changing of his name as `Padmanabha Reddy’. During election time only Kranthi opposed her father’s political stand and supported Pawan Kalyan. Though she was ready to join Jana Sena during the election period, Pawan Kalyan politely refused stating that he did not want to break families for his politics.
However, he assured her she can join the party at a later stage. Along with her, a couple of leaders from Rajahmundry, Kalvakolana Tataji from Amalapuram, Chandu Sambasiva Rao from Guntur and four municipal councilors from Jaggayapet joined the Jana Sena Party. Four municipal corporators from Guntur also joined Jana Sena. Pawan Kalyan welcomed them into the party by tying scarves at the Jana Sena party headquarters in Mangalagiri.
Welcoming them into the party, Pawan Kalyan said their joining has increased his confidence and expressed hope they will contribute for the strengthening of the party. He announced that former YCP MLA Samineni Udayabhanu, who has recently joined the party, is entrusted with the task of leading Jana Sena party in NTR district.
Pawan Kalyan said that they are taking steps for the development of villages through the village festival (Palle Panduga) program. He said that development works are being done without the word of corruption. Pawan Kalyan said that he has worked without the word bribe even in transfers. He warned that if he hears the word bribe, they will have to leave his office.
It may be recalled that Mudragada Padmanabham’s bitter criticism against Pawan Kalyan during elections has shocked his own supporters and is unable to digest. They started questioning him why he was silent against Jaganmohan Reddy’s anarchistic regime? Why does he never utter a single word against him? As a result, after election results Padmanabham has practically kept mum.
