Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu will formally inaugurate reconstruction works of the capital Amaravati, that were kept in cold storage for the last five years. CM Chandrababu will resume these capital works at 11 AM with CRDA’s office works on seven floors, which were initially launched during the previous TDP government at an estimated cost of Rs.160 crores.
The AP government is moving towards implementing the key decisions taken in the CRDA meeting held on 16th of this month. Last Wednesday, the 36th authority meeting of CRDA was held under the chairmanship of CM Chandrababu. In this meeting, only 12 issues including the land allotments made to 130 organizations and the current situation were discussed.
Chandrababu spoke to the authorities on the issue of those who had acquired land in the past, taking up construction again. To whom land should be allotted and what kind of institutions should be invited to become AP an education hub were discussed.
CM Chandrababu said that land should be allotted to those who make the capital Amaravati the center of wealth creation. The officials were directed to ensure that top 10 colleges, top 10 schools and top 10 hospitals in the country should be persuaded to start their centers here.
The Chief Minister made it clear that as per GO 207, the capital city should be spread over 8352 Sq Kms. He clarified that the area of CRDA is the same as previously identified. On the other hand, he issued orders to the officials to take back the villages included in the Mangalagiri municipality.
The chief minister also talked to the officials about the R5 zone brought by the Jagan government in a conspiracy. Officials suggested an in-depth review on the legal complications with regard to illegal decisions taken during YS Jagan’s regime.
Chandrababu made it clear that the construction of the inner ring road and the construction of embankment in 4 lines should go ahead. In the same meeting, the authority approved the construction of a CRDA office in 2,42,481 square feet at a cost of Rs.160 crore. To this extent, the capital works will be started today.
