Rowdy sheeter Borugadda Anil Kumar has reportedly confessed before the police officers that he had abused TDP leaders during the period of YCP government as he was provoked and directed by YCP leaders. He said YCP leaders had brainwashed him stating ‘You are a Dalit… you will have a good future in the party… If you attack the TDP, we will support you…’
He was arrested by police on Wednesday in the AELC church dispute case and when he was produced in the court, he was sent for remand till 29th of this month. Later, he was sent to Rajahmundry central prison.
Anil, who was involved in slander, anarchy and irregularities during the YSRCP regime, went into hiding after the election results. He was notorious in abusing TDP leaders, including women.
Police arrested Anil two days ago in the case of threatening Karlapudi Babu Prakash and demanding Rs. 50 lakhs in 2021. Arundalpet DSP Jayaramprasad, Pattabhipuram CI Virendra Babu and Arandalpet CI Srinivasa Rao interrogated Anil Kumar for more than two hours.
In the police enquiry, he has deplored that those YCP leaders who provoked him earlier were not seen after change of government. “I realized now it was wrong at my party. I am ready to hold the legs of all those who cursed on social media and apologize”, he said. He is also said to be pleading to become an approver.
Moreover, he mentioned names of former YCP MP Mopidevi Venkata Ramana, his brother and YCP city president and MLP Lella Appi Reddy, who provoked and persuaded him to abuse and threaten TDP leaders.
Guntur District SP Satish Kumar said that if any victim complains with evidence against the rowdy sheeter Anil Kumar, cases will be registered. Anil Kumar is calling himself the state president of Republican Party of India (A). But, there are many controversies on this. A consultancy is being run by the name of Word Academy (UK).
In 2018, Anil was jailed in the case of cheating by claiming to be an IAS officer in Anantapur town. Anil started getting angry since the YCP government came to power in 2019. Chandrababu and Pawan Kalyan were abused with vulgar language on social media. So far 17 criminal cases have been registered against him across the state. Anil needs to be taken into police custody and thoroughly investigated, he added.
