The striking combination of seasoned actor Nandamuri Balakrishna and top-league director Boyapati Srinu, which is pitched as #BB4, is back for the fourth time after delivering consecutive blockbusters with Simha, Legend and Akhanda. The formidable duo is now reuniting for the sequel of their recent smash hit Akhanda. The formal announcement of this crazy project was made on Dussehra festival.
On Wednesday, the official launch of this much anticipated film will happen in Hyderabad. Ahead of its start, the makers of #BB4 have announced the title as Akhanda 2 – Thaandavam. The concept poster has also been unveiled and it hints that Boyapati Srinu is once again coming up with yet another powerful action drama with a touch of Hindu mythology. The poster depicts that Akhanda 2 will have references to Lord Shiva and will be more intense than the first part.
To be bankrolled by 14 Reels Entertainment banner, Akhanda 2 will have music by SS Thaman. Balakrishna’s daughter Tejaswini is also one of the producers for the film. The regular shooting will commence once Balakrishna wraps up his ongoing shooting part for his next film with director Bobby.
Boyapati Srinu’s previous film turned out to be a huge dud at the box office. He will need to deliver a big hit to reinstate his image. The makers are planning to release the film in Summer next year. Two heroines will be a part of this project. The cast and crew will be announced shortly.
