Bollywood actor Varun Dhawan revealed how he manifested Tollywood’s talented beauty Samantha Ruth Prabhu to be his co-star for ‘Citadel: Honey Bunny’.
Citadel: Honey Bunny is the Indian installment of the spin-off to the American television series Citadel, starring Richard Madden and Priyanka Chopra. The Indian adaptation is directed by Raj & DK and produced by D2R Films and Amazon MGM Studios. This spy action thriller series is set to captivate audiences on November 7 in Amazon Prime Video.
The filmmakers unveiled the trailer of ‘Citadel: Honey Bunny’ earlier in Mumbai today. During the event, Varun Dhawan shared how he landed the role. He revealed that after being impressed with Raj & DK’s ‘Family Man’ series, after the release of season 2, he called DK, talking about the series, and in the conversation he learned about the collaboration of Raj & DK with Russo brothers, hinting at a potential global reach for the project. After meeting with Raj, he was excited about the endless creative possibilities for his character.
Varun also shared how he manifested Samantha to be part of this project. He said, “Honestly, I was manifesting and hoping that Samantha will be the actor that they want with me in this. I told them even before they mentioned her name that it would be Samantha. I’ve just seen ‘Family Man 2’ and became a fan. Honestly, I was a fan after watching ‘Makki’ and everything just came together.
