Chandrababu Shocking Move In Mumbai Actress Case

The harassment case involving a Mumbai actress, which has sparked widespread attention in Andhra Pradesh, has reached a critical juncture. The state government, led by Chandrababu Naidu, has decided to transfer the investigation to the CID (Crime Investigation Department) for a more comprehensive inquiry. DGP Dwaraka Tirumala Rao announced the decision, citing the need for a deeper investigation to uncover the individuals orchestrating the incident. Previously handled by Vijayawada police, the case will now be under the CID’s supervision, with instructions to immediately transfer all case files for further action.

During the previous YSRCP administration, a harassment case involving a Mumbai actress drew widespread attention. The case, filed in Vijayawada, led to allegations against YSRCP leader Kukka Vidyasagar and three IPS officers. Following Vidyasagar’s complaint, police registered a case against the actress at the Ibrahimpatnam station. On February 2nd of this year, an FIR was also lodged against her parents and brother. The day after, officials traveled to Mumbai, arrested the actress along with her family, and brought them to Vijayawada. The secrecy surrounding the case’s details led to public criticism of the police’s handling of the situation.

On August 26, a harassment case involving a Mumbai actress was brought to public attention following the new alliance government taking charge. The actress approached the Vijayawada Commissioner of Police with her allegations, resulting in ACP Sravanthi Roy being appointed to lead the investigation. The inquiry prompted the government to suspend several IPS officers, including Seetharama Anjaneyulu, Kanthi Rana, Vishal Gunni, ACP Hanumanth Rao, and CI Satyanarayana. Furthermore, on the 14th of last month, a case was registered at the Ibrahimpatnam police station against YSRCP leader Vidyasagar and the involved IPS officers based on the actress’s complaints. Subsequently, both cases were transferred to the CID for a more comprehensive investigation, reflecting the government’s commitment to addressing the issue.
