Chandrababu warned some officials Giving political statements Beyond Their purview

Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has reportedly warned against some officials ‘super active’ nature by issuing political statements, beyond their purview. He is said to be directed by the Chief Secretary to restrain such officials. He made it clear that officials should only talk about administrative matters in front of the media and leaders will take care of political matters.

It is reported that the CM has said that he will not tolerate even if officials tried to provide false information with regard to some problems prevailing at field level, so as to impress the government that everything is fine. He made it clear that they should bring actual information to the notice of the government.

Recently, it seems that even though the field level leaders explained to them the situation regarding the price of sand in Visakha, the top officials tried to cover up the fact as if there was no such thing.

Minister Nara Lokesh has reportedly brought to the attention of the Chief Minister the attitude of several officials. In Anantapur SP declared burning of Lord Rama’s chariot was nothing to do with politics, but actually YCP leaders were involved. Likewise,  during Vijayawada floods also some enthusiastic statements were issued by some officials, which caused embarrassment to the government.

In this regard, Chandrababu Naidu is said to have issued clear instructions to the Chief Secretary in this regard. Chandrababu has felt that it is not appropriate for the officials to give some glorified statements to please some political bosses. He has also warned MLAs against interference in liquor tenders.

A few days ago during a chitchat with the media, CM Chandrababu clarified that liquor tenders are being conducted transparently. He said that political governance is not meant to trouble the people and should be used to do good to the people. It was explained that due to rains and floods, the sand mining was stopped and there was some difficulty. Chandrababu stated that the NGT’s rules not to carry out excavations at night have also become an obstacle.
