Comedian Venu Yedlandi turned director and made his directorial debut with ‘Balagam’, a village drama that became a surprise blockbuster and garnered numerous awards. Following the success of Balagam, Venu is now gearing up for his second directorial venture.
In a recent press meet at Suhas’ ‘Janaka Aithe Ganaka’, producer Dil Raju revealed details about Venu’s upcoming film, which is titled ‘Yellamma’. During the event, when asked by Dil Raju about the timeline for starting the film, Venu humorously replied that he was ready to begin whenever he wanted, suggesting that he could start as soon as the next day. However, Dil Raju revealed that filming would commence in February 2025.
It was earlier reported that Venu would be collaborating with Natural Star Nani for his second film, ‘Yellamma’. But this was not confirmed, and it appears Nani will not be part of the project. Subsequently, it has been suggested that another promising actor, Nithiin, will take over as the lead actor. Venu has discussed the storyline with Nithiin, and filming is anticipated to begin soon under the banner of Sri Venkateswara Creations of Dil Raju.
