Home Minister Vangalapudi Anitha lashed out at the news in Sakshi magazine regarding flood relief. Expressing her anger over spreading false narration, the Home Minister challenged the YCP for a `face to face’ debate on flood relief, instead of spreading fake news in their own news paper.
“We are ready to discuss flood relief.. Will anyone from YCP come to the discussion? In NTR district we spend only Rs 92 crores on food and only Rs 139 crore was released for NTR district. How can you say that there has been corruption beyond that?” she wondered.
She said that apart from providing flood relief, the Ministers have been entrusted with the responsibility of filling the floodgates. During the flood, Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu stayed in the Collectorate for about ten days and reviewed the situation in the flooded areas in the state. Besides, senior IAS officers were appointed to the wards, she added.
Anitha asked if there was any leader like Chandrababu who took care of every little aspect? She was furious for terming it as corrupt treasury’ after the entire treasury was emptied during their regime.
She lamented that it was Jagamohan Reddy he used to deposit money from the treasury in his own treasury and making the state indebted. She asserted that whatever they spent was only for the needs of the people, but it is not the regime of Jagan, which spent crores of rupees only on egg puffs.
The Home MInister asked if there is any Chief Minister who has repaired gas stoves too. She recalled that during his regime, Jagan used to go anywhere only in a helicopter, but Chandrababu used to travel in JCBs also. She said that every house that was submerged in flood water was washed away and cleaned.
She deplored that YCP resorted to a mean level of spreading rumours stating four people raped her, when a girl was killed in Punganur. She ridiculed that Jagan is under the illusion that everyone else does whatever crimes he committed.
“We did not work for the name. We always care about the people. If you work for people.. the name will come automatically. People who have spent hundreds of crores on colors, survey stones, egg puffs are talking about us..?” Home Minister Anita expressed anger.
