Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy stated that authentic leadership is cultivated through challenges. He stressed the importance of establishing a strong grassroots organizational structure, including the creation of booth committees, and conveyed his belief that with unity and thorough preparation, the party would be primed for the upcoming elections. During a gathering with party leaders and workers from the Mangalagiri constituency at the party’s central office in Tadepalli on Wednesday, Jagan urged everyone to remain steadfast and united when confronting obstacles.
He also highlighted the challenges faced by party workers, particularly in the Mangalagiri constituency, reaffirming the party’s commitment to their well-being. He introduced a “Good Book” designed to record the contributions of dedicated workers, promising them future opportunities and promotions. Unlike the previous “Red Book” approach used by the former TD government, which Jagan Mohan Reddy described as a “harmful tradition,” the YSRCP’s Good Book ensures that those who put in hard work for the party will be recognized with positions and advancements within the party framework, thereby ensuring that loyalty and dedication are duly rewarded.
Jagan expressed serious concerns about the Telugu Desam coalition government’s performance, describing it as a total regression from the achievements realized during his tenure. He criticized the administration for its ineptitude, favoritism, and the deterioration of public services, particularly in essential sectors like healthcare and education. He emphasized that important welfare programs, such as Aarogyasri, were being overlooked, with pending bills surpassing ₹2,300 crores, which has significantly restricted patients’ access to necessary medical care.
In a calculated move to reinforce the party’s leadership in the Mangalagiri constituency, the YSRCP has appointed Donthireddy Vema Reddy as the in-charge. This decision highlights the party’s commitment to uplifting its devoted workers and establishing a formidable leadership presence at the grassroots level.
