Chandrababu warns YSRCP over Fake propaganda

Unable to digest the embarrassing defeat in the assembly elections, the YSR Congress party supporters unleashed a malafide campaign against the NDA government by resorting to fake propaganda on various decisions and policies implemented by Chandrababu Naidu’s regime after coming to power. Among those policies targeted by the YSRCP social media followers is the new sand policy that was rolled a couple of months ago.

How Jagan’s government resorted to massive corruption through sale of sand is an open secret. This is one of the reasons why there has been a lot of revolution among the public. The current government is busy unearthing the irregularities committed by the previous dispensation. Already, former Mines and Geology director was taken into custody for a detailed investigation.

Meanwhile, Chandrababu’s government immediately scrapped the existing sand policy and introduced a new one with fresh directives. The sand policy is formulated to ensure seamless supply of sand without any scope for corruption and exploitation. There is no price for buying sand but the buyer should bear the transportation costs.

It is true that the new policy also continued to swindle the buyers due to the middlemen of some MLAs who made money through use of power. Chandrababu Naidu immediately warned his MLAs to not involve in sand sale and stay away from troubling the people.

YSRCP followers took advantage of the situation and started spreading fake news about the sale of sand. They frequently posted images of bills and invoices on social media to malign the new government. Many of them have intentionally spreading fake news to tarnish the image of the government.

Reacting on the propaganda, Chandrababu Naidu strongly warned that stern action will be taken against all those who are spreading fake news to instill fears in the public. He directed Chief Secretary Mukesh Kumar Meena to immediately take necessary action and issues instructions to the SPs and Collectors in each district to clamp down on the menace.
