Actor Akkineni Nagarjuna, who has already filed a criminal case against minister Konda Surekha for making derogatory remarks against divorce of his son Naga Chaitanya and Samantha, two-years ago, is said to be unfazed even after she publicly announced withdrawal of her comments.
Further, he asserted that he will not go back even if she apologizes and also announced that he has decided to file a defamation suit against her for Rs 100 crore. “Even if Konda Surekha apologizes, it will not go away. I will not withdraw the defamation suit against her”.
Moreover, Nagarjuna mentioned that Surekha extended an apology only to Samantha, but not to his family members. “Is her apology to Samantha enough? And what about my family?” he asked in an interview given to a newspaper.
He revealed that he is in the process of filing another defamation suit for Rs 100 crore against minister Konda Surekha, who made false allegations against him and his family. At the same time, he made it clear that they have decided that the criminal defamation suit filed against her will not be withdrawn.
When asked if she apologizes, will the already filed case be withdrawn, Nagarjuna said that it is no longer a personal issue. He stated that the outrageous allegations made by her have gone beyond him and his family.
He thanked the entire Telugu film industry for the support they are getting in this regard. He commented that the system made him realize that they were in the process of stopping the pest that had spread deep.
“Using our names for their own political purposes is outrageous. We in the entertainment industry are no longer easy targets. The legal action we will take against her will be a warning to other political leaders”, he asserted.
Nagarjuna said that he felt that it would prevent people like her from making defamatory comments. He expressed hope they would get speedy justice.
Nagarjuna, who admitted that it is true that he is facing problems one after the other this year, referring to demolition of N Convention Center, he said but he is not troubled, he is a strong person and he will be like a lion when it comes to protecting his family. He believes that the entire film industry has come to support him. The reason for this is his father’s respect and his blessings.
