The upcoming Yash Raj Spy Universe film ‘Alpha’ starring Bollywood beauties Alia Bhatt and Sharvari Wagh marks the first female-led installment in the Spy Universe franchise. As fans eagerly await its updates, the filmmakers have officially announced the release date of the film today.
Making it an official announcement, they have shared that ‘Alpha’ is set for global release on December 25, 2025. Locking its grand theatrical release for Christmas, the film team shared a poster with the caption, “On Christmas 2025, #ALPHA will rise! Get ready for an action-packed holiday…25th Dec, 2025.”
Directed by Shiv Rawali, “Alpha” is produced by Aditya Chopra under the prestigious banner Yash Raj Films. Apart from Hindi, it will also release in Telugu and Tamil languages.
With this film, the YRF Spy Universe is gearing up for its seventh chapter. This cinematic universe began in 2012 with Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif’s ‘Ek Tha Tiger’, later expanding with ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’. Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff later joined the franchise with ‘War’, followed by Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone in ‘Pathaan’. The upcoming projects include ‘War 2’, directed by Ayan Mukerji, featuring Hrithik Roshan, and adding a new addition to the universe with Tollywood star Jr. NTR, followed by Pathaan 2 and the latest addition, Alpha.
On the work front, Alia Bhatt is preparing for the release of her upcoming film ‘Jigra’ scheduled to hit theaters on October 11, co-starring Vedang Raina. Meanwhile, Sharvari Wagh recently appeared in ‘Vedaa’, alongside John Abraham and Tamannah Bhatia.
