Mega Prince Varun Tej is set to showcase his versatility in his acting with lots of shades in his upcoming periodic action drama ‘Matka’, helmed by Karuna Kumar. With a worldwide theatrical release slated for November 14, the film is currently in its last leg of filming and has begun its post-production work.
Touted to be Varun Tej’s first pan-Indian project, “Matka” is said to be an expensive project in his career to date. The film team will begin their promotional activities with the release of the highly anticipated teaser.
Jointly produced by Vyra Entertainments and SRT Entertainments, the filmmakers recently announced an exciting update, revealing that the ‘Matka’ teaser is set to be released on October 5. The massive teaser launch event will be held at the Raju Yuvaraju Theater in Vijayawada.
Featuring Varun Tej and Meenakshi Chaudhary as the main leads, the film also has a stellar cast, including Naveen Chandra, Nora Fatehi, Ajay Ghosh, Kannada Kishore, Ravindra Vijay, Ravi Shankar, and many others in pivotal roles.
‘Matka’ is based on the real-life story of the renowned gambler Ratan Khatri, popularly known as “Matka King” in the gambling world. A significant portion of the movie was filmed at Vizag, Kakinada, and surrounding areas.
The technical crew includes GV Prakash Kumar as the music composer with A. Kishore Kumar as the cinematographer and Karthika Srinivas R as the editor.
