SIT probe suspended Into Laddu Row, PMO suspected Backing YS Jagan!

The Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing the Tirupati Laddu prasadam case has temporarily suspended its investigation until October 3, as per instructions from the Andhra Pradesh Director General of Police (DGP), Dwaraka Tirumala Rao. This decision is in response to the ongoing hearing in the Supreme Court.

Over the last three days, the SIT has probed the procurement and sampling processes, trying to understand how it is possible to adulterate the laddus, said Rao. He said in view of the Apex Court hearing on 3rd, their advocates advised them to suspend the SIT probe, till a decision from the court arrives.

“First they (SIT) have to understand the process, study it and take all the information, but in the meantime, an order has come from the Supreme Court and in line with that, we have stopped it (probe),” the DGP said while speaking to reporters. When the case is being examined under the purview of the apex court, it is not appropriate to talk more, he said, hinting at the next hearing of the case in the Supreme Court on October 3.

Meanwhile, the judge’s comments against Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu during hearing the case on Monday spread like a virus on social media. The judge KV Viswanatham, who questioned why Chief Minister told the media about adulteration of the ghee, incidentally was the advocate for former chief minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy, earlier in the disproportionate assets cases against him by the CBI and also ED.

The hurry in which former TTD Chairman YV Subba Reddy filed a petition in the Supreme Court, even before his similar petition in the AP High Court didn’t come for hearing and also filing of similar petition by former union minister Dr Subramanian Swamy in the Supreme Court, giving scope for suspensions that some hidden forces guiding them to save former chief minister from this uproar.

Some sources are suspecting that it was the Prime Minister’s Office guiding Jaganmohan Reddy in this case. Only on the advice from PMO, Reddy was allegedly suddenly suspended from his Tirumala visit last on September 27th.

To save Jaganmohan Reddy from facing an investigation by the AP Police, concerted attempts are said to be going on to handover the case to the CBI. From the day one, Jaganmohan Reddy also demanded a CBI probe or Court- monitored probe into laddu row.

Meanwhile, state BJP president Daggubati Purandheswari said that Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu made a statement based on the information received by him in the Tirumala laddu row, maybe after a review with the officials. She said that the Chief Minister may have felt the need to inform the people and wondered how courts can ask a chief minister `Why did you say that? Do the courts have the right to ask?’, she added.
