Bhuvaneshwari Inaugurates Blood Bank In Rajahmundry

Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu’s wife Nara Bhuvaneshwari inaugurated a blood bank in Rajahmundry on Monday. This blood bank was established under the auspices of NTR Trust. She  inaugurated the blood bank as well as ambulance services. Trust staff along with Bhuvaneshwari participated in the inauguration program.

She said that NTR Trust is expanding its activities more and more. Stating that already three blood banks have been established so far, she said that this will be the fourth one opened in Rajahmundry. Blood banks are already running in Hyderabad, Visakhapatnam and Tirupati, she added.

According to her, eight lakh people have been given free blood through Hyderabad, Visakhapatnam and Tirupati blood banks. Moreover, she said  that free education is being provided to 1938 orphan students, besides 5 crore scholarships have been given.

Bhuvaneshwari said that through NTR Sanjeevini Clinics 1 lakh people and 70,000 people through Mobile Clinic have been provided free medical care. Free sewing training has been arranged for women in Kuppam.

She said that disaster relief has been provided to 20 lakh people in AP and Telangana. Bhuvaneshwari revealed that during the floods in Vijayawada, they supplied one lakh liters of milk and drinking water. Apart from these activities, she said that 8.1 lakh poor people and children suffering from thalassemia have been given free blood through the blood banks headed by NTR Trust.

On this occasion, Bhuvaneshwari expressed her heartfelt thanks to the donors who have donated blood. She assured that NTR Trust will always stand by the people. She conveyed her gratitude to the people of Rajahmundry, as stood by Chandrababu Naidu, when he was in jail here for 53 days.

“I and my daughter-in-law always will recall how brave people were when we were in Rajahmundry extending moral support to us”, she added.

TDP senior leader and MLA Gorantla Butchaiah Chaudhary said that NTR Trust has been providing humane services to the people like nowhere else in India.He said that a blood bank has been established in Rajahmundry with the latest technology.
