Devotees of Lord Srivenkateswara and Hindu religious groups are expressing their anger after confirming that the ghee used in the preparation of Srivenkateswara Swamy’s laddu prasadam was adulterated during the YCP government. This has led to former chief minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy, who has been facing allegations of targeting Hindu temples during his regime. Several Hindu groups are demanding an apology from Jaganmohan Reddy for hurting Hindu sentiments.
In this background, BJP Yuva Morcha activists besieged former CM Jagan’s residence in Tadepalli raising slogans of `Jai Sri Ram’.. They started protesting that Tirumala Laddu was desecrated. They camped at the gate leading to Jagan’s residence. The situation led to tension when the police tried to stop them. There was an argument and scuffle between the police and Yuva Morcha leaders.
The BJP Yuva Morcha demanded that Jagan should apologize. The BJYM leaders crossed the main gate and went to the front of the YCP office. The walls of the YCP office were painted saffron. BJYM agitators tried to enter Jagan’s house. As the huge gate was closed, red vermilion was also poured on the gate.
They shouted slogans saying Jagan is a Hindu traitor. They tried to enter from the side where the camp office was in the past. They expressed anger with slogans like `Down down YV Subba Reddy’. An effigy was burnt in front of the gate of YCP office and Jagan’s house. And the police entered the field to control the BJP Yuva Morcha agitators.
The police arrested some of the protestors who were agitating at Jagan’s house. When there is a widespread uproar over this affair, especially when Hindus are swaying with anger, YS Jaganmohan Reddy is being targeted by the NDA alliance parties in AP on a large scale. Many MLAs and Ministers are alleging that Jaganmohan Reddy was already aware of this whole affair and that Jagan led this affair by falling for the commissions.
Meanwhile, Jaganmohan Reddy wrote a 8-page letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi explaining his version of Laddu Prasadam uproar and alleging it as a `political conspiracy’ against him.
