Chandrababu Fly’s False propaganda Against Anna Canteens

As the state government is committed to provide food to the common people at a nominal price and starting Anna Canteens, Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu lamented that some parties and leaders are spreading false propaganda against Anna canteens.

He inaugurated Anna Canteen at AP Secretariat on Thursday, as part of the second phase of Anna Canteens in the state. In the first phase 100 canteens were inaugurated on August 15, in the second phase 75 canteens were opened.

He said that it is bankrupt to criticize programs that work with a sense of service. He said that this is a holy program and the scheme was started to give food to the poor. CM Chandrababu explained that Anna canteens have been started with the intention of providing clean and nutritious food.

Whatever political opponents may spread lies, the Chief Minister is happy that the people are expressing satisfaction wherever the canteens are being opened, as they are getting delicious food at a nominal price. Chandrababu said that the aim of the government is to ensure that no one in the state has to struggle to make ends meet.

He said that Anna canteens have been started with the purpose of providing rice for three meals a day at a price of Rs 15.  He said that the poor are eating in every canteen. CM Chandrababu reminded that many people, starting from children, have donated for flood relief. Donors are praised for proving that there is a place for good.

He called to initiate service programs through Anna canteens and asked to donate liberally to Anna canteens. He said that the government needs about Rs 150 crore for maintaining Anna Canteens in the state. Though the government is in a position to bear the entire expenditure for Anna Canteens, he said that people’s participation in it will enhance a spirit of service among them.
