Tamil actor Jayam Ravi’s ex-wife, Aarti Ravi, broke silence following his unexpected divorce announcement. She claimed that they announced their separation without her prior knowledge or consent.
As known, Jayam Ravi had officially announced his separation with Aarti Ravi on September 9 by releasing a press note to the media. Two days later, today, Aarti shared her first statement in a long note on her Instagram handle.
In her statement, Aarti expressed that Jayam Ravi’s decision has left her and their two children blindsided by the announcement. She wrote, “The recent public announcement about our marriage deeply shocked and saddened me, as it happened without my knowledge or consent. After 18 years of shared history, I believe we should handle such a significant matter with the grace, respect, and privacy it deserves.”
“For some time, I have sought several opportunities to speak directly with my husband, hoping to have an open dialogue in a manner that honors the commitment we made to one another and to our family. Sadly, I did not receive that opportunity, which left both my children and me completely blindsided by the announcement. The decision to end our marriage was one-sided and does not benefit our family.
Arti continued in her statement, “Despite the pain this has caused, I have chosen to remain dignified and refrained from public comment until now. It has been hard to endure the false public narrative that has unfairly placed blame on me and subjected my character to attacks. As a mother, my first priority is and always will be the well-being of my children. I cannot stand by while this narrative affects them, and I will not allow these unfolded allegations to go unaddressed.”
