The action saga emerged as a decent hit despite securing so-so talk on the first day. In USA, the film turned out be a huge blockbuster and gave the career biggest hit in Nani’s career with its stupendous run in the opening weekend followed by good hold on first Monday.
As per trade reports, Saripodhaa Sanivaram breached into the $ 2 million club in North America and emerged as one of the biggest hits in recent times. After Kalki 2898AD, this is the only recent film that secured clean hit status due to its consistent run throughout the weekend. The Vivek Athreya directional notched up $ 2.1 M by the end of Tuesday.
Saripodhaa Sanivaram embarked on a phenomenal start with $ 819K on its first day with a half million dollar gross from Wednesday premieres. The film continued its steady run on Friday with $ 319K haul and then followed it up with a phenomenal $ 381K pm Saturday. With Sunday’s $ 296K, the film ended the weekend on a terrific note with $ 1.86 Million gross.
With the first Monday being a holiday in USA, the film managed to hold well with $ 206K and enter the prestigious $ 2 million gross. This is Nani’s second two million dollar film after Dasara. Saripodhaa Sanivaram is likely to end up close to $ 2.5 Million in its full run.
