Ambati Rambabu Accuses Chandrababu Naidu of Polavaram Project Delays

Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) leader and former minister Ambati Rambabu addressed the media regarding the Polavaram project, attributing its delays to former Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu’s decisions. Rambabu alleged that Naidu’s mistakes were responsible for the collapse of the diaphragm wall, which has impeded progress on the project.

Rambabu criticized Naidu for failing to make effective decisions, which he claims have been detrimental to the project’s advancement. He also stated that under the YSRCP administration, the Polavaram project had seen considerable progress, but this was halted by the collapse of the diaphragm wall.

He further explained that while Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy had initiated the project with substantial commitment, responsibility was transferred to the central government after his death. Despite this, Naidu had insisted that the state would complete the project.

Rambabu condemned the blame directed at the YSRCP, asserting that if the diaphragm wall collapse was caused by Naidu’s errors, the party should not be held accountable. He reaffirmed the party’s readiness to engage in discussions about the Polavaram project.
