Chandrababu Expresses Concern Over University Rankings, Advocates Curriculum Reforms

Amaravati:  Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu held a comprehensive meeting with district collectors in Amaravati, focusing on critical issues such as school education, higher education, and skill development. During the meeting, CM Chandrababu emphasized the importance of enhancing the skills of students to meet the demands of world-class jobs.

Expressing concern over the current state of universities in Andhra Pradesh, he noted, “Earlier, AP universities used to be in the top-10 in NAAC accreditation, but now not a single university from AP is in the top-10.” He stressed the need for a dynamic curriculum that evolves with changing times to ensure students acquire internationally relevant skills.

Chandrababu highlighted the necessity of providing training to help students achieve skills at an international level. He also outlined his vision to transform Andhra Pradesh into a hub for virtual working, stating, “Our aim is to formulate a policy for virtual working and make Andhra Pradesh a virtual working hub.”

The Chief Minister instructed officials to organize a workshop soon to develop this initiative further.
