Chandrababu Assured To Eradicate Drought From Rayalaseema, Makes It A Land of Gems

Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has assured that he will eradicate drought from Rayalaseema region and develop it as a land of fortune with gems. Offering Jala Harathi at SriSailam, he expressed happiness that due to the grace of Mallanna, for the first time in the last 20 years Srisailam reservoir is full of water in July itself.

He assured that giving priority we will utilize every drop of water and provide irrigation to every acre in Rayalaseema. Participating in distribution of pensions in Nandyal and Sri Sathya Sai districts on Thursday, he  announced that all measures will be taken to build a reservoir along with the iconic highway bridge at Siddeswaram.

Chandrababu lashed out at the YSP government which has weakened the state with inefficient governance in the last five years. He expressed his anger that people’s properties were stolen.

Accusing that YS Jaganmohan Reddy has completely ignored irrigation, he said while during previous TDP regime Rs 68,000 crore was spent on irrigation, Jagan’s regime spent not even Rs 400 crore.

He said that Kia Motors have been brought in the drought district and assured greenery in Anantapur district. Chandrababu said that measures will be taken for remunerate prices for crops and drip irrigation will be made available in the district. He asserted that if Polavaram is completed and the rivers are connected, there will be no drought in Rayalaseema.

He assured that two reservoirs will be constructed in Anantapur area and the problem of drinking and irrigation water will be solved through the reservoirs. He said that APIIC has 1600 acres of land in Anantapur and Madakasira and will take responsibility for setting up an industrial cluster.

The CM said that industries will be brought to this area and employment will be generated and skill training will be provided to the youth for employment. He said that 97 percent of pensions were distributed on a single day at home without any trouble.

Chandrababu lamented that the YCP regime has weakened all systems with corruption, destruction and inefficient governance. Alleging that state on survey stones with Jagan’s photos. Though houses were not built for the poor, in Rushikonda a palace was built spending Rs 500 crore.
